Instructional Tidbits: Digital Citizenship LARK lessons should have been taught in each class (general ed & specials) if using student devices. Here is a tip- Have students practice getting devices out of carts and into carts. Just last week you had time dedicated to lining up correctly, passing in papers, walking in the hallway, etc. The same should be done for proper care and use of devices. Do not assume they know how to put the device in a cart and plug it in (especially with our chromebooks). They need explicit instruction on putting the device in the right slight (all are numbered), using the correct cord (not the one from the top or bottom), plugging in and pulling out the cord gently, etc. I would have 4 students at a time walk over and unplug their device, log in (if laptop/chromebook), shut down, and then plug back in. You could do a group here and there throughout the day all week to get plenty of practice in. A little time invested now will save time and devices later! Have you taken the Digital Citizenship Pledge yet?

Eventzee winners received an Amazon Gift Card. Prizes are back this year! Prizes will be hidden inside this Tech Tuesday blog and will require some kind of action. Prizes are for Armstrong Elementary staff only. Updates:
I have created a checklist for everyone to use to help get ready for Monday morning! When you click on the link, it will force you to make a copy of your very own (make sure you are signed into Google). Armstrong BOY Tech Checklist: https://goo.gl/y0gSzE Accounts are still being created and uploaded for most of our instructional materials, so please be patient on those. I will keep you informed about when everything is up and running. Do not expect everything for the first week of school. Please do check Skyward student (see email from Catherine). Digital Citizenship resources and lessons from Tuesday's training are posted to the C&I Google site. https://goo.gl/qVR5h3 Eventzee will end on Friday!
